Long time SOF friend and contributor, Michael Yon is an author, columnist and war correspondent. He has traveled or worked in 75 countries, including various wars/conflicts. We have been forwarding his broadcasts from Hong Kong, where he was covering the months long protest.

Today he informed us that the Beijing Puppet Government “Censures my Work — deports me.”

He has forwarded the latest tweets from sources which produce his reports:

“War correspondent @Michael_Yon barred from entry into #HongKong with no official reason given, after #HongKongProtests reporting.”

“China has detained our corespondent Michael Yon who is a world renowned war correspondent. He traveled to Hong Kong to report on the #coronavirus and was detained. The coverup is well underway and they don’t want the media there. Wake up people. No more Hong Kong issues,” Brian Kolfage

Reporters Without Borders: “By denying entry to seasoned American journalist @Michael_Yon, seemingly to please the Beijing regime, the HK authorities show a blatant disrespect for the Basic Law that establishes freedom of the press.”
