Rifle Seized after Search Warrant issued on St. Louis Couple that used the rifle to ward off protestors on their property
Sources tell @ksdknews that St. Louis Police executed a search warrant at the home of Mark and Patricia McCloskey. Sources say they seized the rifle he held during a confrontation with protesters in June at their Central West End home.
Sources tell Five On Your Side police seized one of the weapons, the rifle, from the couple and they told police their attorney has the pistol.
“It was a big crowd and they were aggressive,” Mark McCloskey told 5 On Your Side. The couple said the protestors were armed and threatening, doing damage to the property.
“The only thing that stopped the crowd from approaching the house was when I had that rifle,” he said.
“One would say in that situation if threatened go inside, lock your doors, and call the police,” Noonan argued.
Missouri is a Castle Doctrine state, permitted among the broadest latitudes of any state in using even deadly force to protect yourself or your property. This couple used NO force, despite the imminent threat from a trespassing mob. The seizure of weapons is government overreach, attorney had stated in defense of a St Louis couple.
