“ Shop Shooting at Walmart. Bolster your hunting season by practicing with the newest Crosman Spinning full metal portable target or …a new add for shooting supplies appeared today as Walmart returned to the weapons market.
Reporting to be overly concerned about civil unrest in the streets following the Philadelphia violence, Walmart briefly pulled its weapons line.
“We have seen some isolated civil unrest and as we have done on several occasions over the last few years, we have moved our firearms and ammunition off the sales floor as a precaution for the safety of our associates and customers,” tWalmart said in a statement emailed to The Associated Press
“It’s important to note that we only sell firearms in approximately half of our 4700 stores, primarily where there are large concentrations of hunters, sportsmen, and sportswomen,”
But on Friday Walmart said the items had been restored to displays because the unrest has remained isolated, AP reported.
