Texas, Florida Governors order National Guard, sleeping in garages and on floors back to Station
National Guardsmen, after two grueling weeks of covering chaos in D.C. were ordered out of the Capitol. The exhausted soldiers were found sleeping on floors and in garages in the brutal humid winter of D.C. according to Governor Abbott, Congressman Cawthorn and other officials and media on site.
“One unit, which had been resting in the Dirksen Senate Office building, was abruptly told to vacate the facility on Thursday, according to one Guardsman. The group was forced to rest in a nearby parking garage without internet reception, with just one electrical outlet, and one bathroom with two stalls for 5,000 troops, the person said. Temperatures in Washington were in the low 40s by nightfall,” Politico reported.
Governor of Texas Abbott, already outraged at the vetting of National Guardsmen by DOD and the FBI on orders of officials fearing for themselves, had blasted the officials who had insulted our Soldiers.
“I have instructed General Norris to order the return of the Texas National Guard to our state.” Governor Greg Abbott Texas said.
“This is the most offensive thing I’ve ever heard. No one should ever question the loyalty or professionalism of the Texas National Guard. @TexasGuard I authorized more than 1,000 to go to DC. I’ll never do it again if they are disrespected like this,” he said earlier in the week.
Governor of Florida DeSantis made a similar order:

Others were shaken to the core at the treatment of the Soldiers hours after photos were taken with Hypocritical arrogant officials so thankful their precious lives were spared.
The riot at the capital was unacceptable, but it was no 9-11 or Iraq war as the officials and media wanted Americans to believe as officials demanded an incredible guard of twenty thousand Service members as well as private and local security.
“Yesterday dozens of senators and congressmen walked down our lines taking photos, shaking our hands and thanking us for our service. Within 24 hours, they had no further use for us and banished us to the corner of a parking garage. We feel incredibly betrayed,” the Guardsman told Politico on the scene.

I brought them pizza and told them that they can sleep in my office. No soldier will ever, ever sleep on a garage floor in the US Capitol while I work in Congress Our Troops deserve better.“
