January 6 suspects describe jail conditions ‘like Guantanamo Bay’

“It’s like Guantanamo Bay’: Inside the Washington D.C. jail where Capitol rioters are ‘treated like domestic terrorists,’ assaulted, taunted and locked up in ‘closet-sized’ cells up to 24 hours a day,” Daily Mail wrote in an exclusive on the harsh treatments of Jan 6 protestors.

All of the protestors were unarmed and none of them appeared to have an agenda of killing or harming those legitimately in the Capitol. to call the event a riot is not far fetched. To call the event, not being justified by anyone, an insurrection, is hysteria by those clueless as to the definition of insurrection.

Violence was involved, with some of the protestors attacking law enforcement officers.

Geoffrey Sills, 30, of Mechanicsville, is charged with federal offenses that include assaulting, resisting or impeding officers using a dangerous weapon; obstruction of an official proceeding; and civil disorder, among other charges. Sills made his initial court appearance in the Eastern District of Virginia on June 21.

According to court documents, Sills was on the lower west terrace of the Capitol on Jan. 6 where he was seen on U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) surveillance, videos posted online, and body-worn camera (BWC) footage repeatedly assaulting multiple law enforcement officers. As depicted in the footage, Sills threw multiple objects, including pole-like objects, at law enforcement officers around 2:30 p.m., as the officers retreated and the crowd advanced forward. USCP surveillance footage then captured Sills in one of the first groups of rioters entering the tunnel around 2:41 p.m, while holding his phone up as if it were recording.

Brian Glenn Bingham, 35, of Port Charlotte, Florida, is charged with federal offenses that include assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers; obstruction of law enforcement during civil disorder; and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, among other charges.

Others were also charged with violence against law officials. Yet others were arrested or imprisoned with no proof of violence during the incursion into the Capitol.

Those arrested and in prison report abuse.
