I want to return after being forced out says President Ghani from a safe spot

Former Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said on Wednesday he supports talks between the Taliban and top former government officials, and that he was “in talks to return” home after seeking refuge in the United Arab Emirates.

“I support the government initiative of ongoing negotiations with Abdullah Abdullah and former President Hamid Karzai. I want the success of this process,” NDTV reported.

Ghani declared that he plans to return to Afghanistan in the near future in order to provide “justice” for all Afghan nationals. He further rejected allegations that he fled the country with large sums of money saying “they are lies”. Ghani, who abdicated and fled from Afghanistan, has been granted asylum in the UAE, Timesnownews reports.

“I am in consultation with others until I will return so that I can continue my efforts for justice for Afghans,” the president said,

He further reiterated that he chose to leave his countrymen in order to prevent any further bloodshed and avert any “huge disaster”.The tough talking Ghani took to Twitter on 2 August:
