VP Harris in Vietnam as Afghan War end unfolds
VP Kamala Harris is getting grief for going AWOL to Singapore, Vietnam during the Afghanistan evacuation crisis, while her current major agenda is to pass the Voting Rights Act.
She does, in passing give notice to Afghanistan and of those lost in a tweet:
“Today in Kabul, a terror attack killed 13 American service members. These courageous service members died while saving countless lives. They are heroes.”
Before the evacuation crisis she tweeted: .@JoeBiden made a commitment to the American people when he ran for president that he would bring America’s military involvement in Afghanistan to an end. It’s the right decision. We are working around the clock to evacuate Americans and Afghan allies—including translators, interpreters, Afghan women leaders, and journalists,”
Americans mostly agreed in ending costly, failed, ceaseless wars. It is in the non planning of the exit that took 13 Service members lives and lives of dozens of innocent civilians that most don’t agree. And many were repulsed when she broke into one of her hideous cackles when approached by journalists on Afghanistan.
Her visit to Vietnam triggered outrage, one of the most egregious being of her posing with Vietnamese Communist leaders in front of the sculptures of the brutal killer Ho Chi Minh, founder of the Vietnamese Communist Party. The feature was titled: “Kamala Harris Poses In Front Of Communist Ho Chi Minh Bust – “The Worst Photo Op For An American In That Country Since Jane Fonda Donned A Helmet There In 1972.”
Yet as NY Post points out, her annoying and bizzare behavior and incompetence may be Biden’s security as the thought of her as President is the more frightening scenario.
Full stop, she presents a great demure, sober presence, NYT says as she dresses in appropriate black suits. NYT thinks the criticisms are gender based and racists, a reflection of the prevalent media wide journalism.
And then there was her visit to Singapore, one of the most orderly, peaceful countries on the planet while the Afghanistan situation went to hell.
