Fabrizio Romano has said that Paris Saint-Germain do not want to waste any time in making a move for Lutsharel Geertruida as they are aware that the Feyenoord star is also attracting interest from the likes of Tottenham.

Tottenham have been linked with Lutsharel Geertruida

Geertruida has emerged as one of the most impressive defenders in the Eredivisie over the last few years and with the right-back having just a year left on his contract at De Kuip, several sides are thought to be circling over him.

From the Premier League, Tottenham and Liverpool have been mooted as the 23-year-old’s most likely destinations, with The Daily Mirror claiming last week that the Spurs had moved into pole position ahead of the Reds in the race.

However, since then, multiple French outlets (L’Equipe and Foot Mercato) have suggested that PSG have made advances towards the Netherlands international, with the Parisians said to be keen on beating out the competitors to the player’s signature.

PSG are moving fast to sign Geertruida ahead of Spurs

This has now been backed up by Romano, who has taken to social media to state that the Ligue 1 champions want to ‘advance fast on personal terms’ for Geertruida.

This is because Luis Enrique’s men are thought to be aware of the fact that the Dutchman is attracting interest from England.

Romano tweeted: ‘Paris Saint-Germain want to advance fast on personal terms for Lutsharel Geertruida as there’s also interest from Premier League clubs.

‘PSG still didn’t send formal proposal to Feyenoord. Geertruida, Tapsoba and dream target Yoro (priority Real Madrid) on PSG shortlist.’

It is unclear at the moment who Tottenham’s top right-back target is, with Geertruida, Vanderson, Archie Gray and Michael Kayode all being heavily linked with a move to the North London club over recent days.

It seems like Spurs have plenty of irons in the fire in their quest to sign Emerson’s replacement.
