Pedro Neto was impressive last season for Wolves

Neto seemed to come off age last season, scoring three goals and providing 11 assists in just 24 outings across all competitions (Transfermarkt).

Earlier in the summer, a number of outlets suggested that Tottenham were one of the sides keen on securing the Portugal international’s services.

This includes GiveMeSport who said that Spurs were battling the likes of Arsenal and Man Utd for the 24-year-old but the report claimed that the player will not agitate for a transfer this summer.

While the speculation linking Neto with a move to Spurs had subsequently gone quiet, just a few days ago, Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe revealed that the Wolves star is back on the Lilywhites’ wishlist.

Romano has now addressed the speculation, telling Playback that the former Braga man is indeed on Tottenham’s radar, with the journalist claiming that the attacker is greatly appreciated by the club’s decision-makers.

However, he revealed that the one concern Spurs have always had about Neto is regarding his fitness, given his inability to stay fit for lengthy durations.

The only way a deal for Neto would make sense for Spurs is if it is based on a lot of appearance-based add-ons so that the North Londoners can secure themselves if the winger is constantly on the treatment table.

It remains to be seen if Wolves will entertain that kind of an offer.
