Tottenham are on the lookout for a new striker

A whole host of number nines have been linked with Tottenham over the summer, with the North London club thought to be intent on signing a marquee number to fill the void left by Harry Kane (Football Insider)

En-Nesyri, who has been prolific in front of goal for Sevilla over the last two seasons, is one of those, with a number of outlets suggesting previously that the Lilywhites were favourites to land the Moroccan international (El Mira).

Competition from Saudi Arabia in En-Nesyri race

However, SportItalia reporter Rudy Galetti has now taken to social media to state that Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah are now also eyeing a move for En-Nesyri.

The journalist says that the Middle Eastern club have asked Sevilla for information on the player and could soon launch a €20m bid for the centre-forward.

Galetti adds that Fenerbahce, who are now managed by former Spurs boss Jose Mourinho, are also keen on the 27-year-old but they are unwilling to pay more than €15m.

Spurs Web Opinion

There is nothing concrete to suggest that Tottenham’s interest in En-Nesyri went beyond the initial exploratory stage.

The likes of Jonathan David and Ivan Toney now appear to be the top options on the North London club’s wishlist.
