Despite 2023/24 being significantly better than the Brazilian’s previous season, it appears Tottenham are prepared to sell Richarlison, at the right price, and with Saudi Arabian clubs circling, money isn’t usually an issue.

Richarlison has had long-term interest from Saudi Arabia

Brazilian forward, Richarlison, arrived at Spurs from Everton, however, he suffered from a poor first season where the centre-forward played second fiddle to Harry Kane.

This season, with the responsibility of being the club’s first-choice striker, Richarlison has found form, bagging eleven goals in twenty-eight Premier League appearances, ten goals better than his worrying tally of one in the previous campaign. (TransferMarkt)

However, being Brazil and Tottenham’s number nine raises your public profile, with an incredible acrobatic goal in the World Cup in 2022 only thrusting Richarlison further into the limelight, which is likely to be a huge factor in the Saudi Arabian interest.

The Athletic confirmed back in May that Richarlison is catching the eye of multiple Saudi Arabian clubs, with any sale potentially earning Tottenham their money back on the striker.

Tottenham expect £60 million to sanction Richarlison’s exit

There has now been a new update on Tottenham’s striker moving to Saudi, despite Richarlison himself taking to Instagram a matter of weeks ago to state, ‘I will not be leaving England’. (Daily Mail)

Ben Jacobs on X posted that Richarlison does remain a target though for Saudi Arabian clubs and perhaps regardless of the player’s preference to stay in England, Tottenham are open to the sale.

Jacobs states that Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal, who own fellow Brazilians, Malcom and Neymar Jr, are the two clubs who have discussed signing Richarlison. Tottenham have named their price for the ex-Watford striker as £60 million but are yet to receive any offers.

The update concluded by stating simply that Richarlison’s situation is ‘one to watch’ for this summer’s transfer window.

Spurs Web Opinion

The current situation between Tottenham and Richarlison is effectively a win-win as long as Saudi Arabian sides remain interested.

The Brazilian would likely still shine in Postecoglou’s system next season, although may have to compete with a newly signed striker that is rumoured to be on the cards. (Football.London)

If the right offer does arrive however, as in particular fashion of the Saudi Arabian sides, it will be an offer of huge financial value to Tottenham that fans would like to think will get re-invested into the squad ahead of next season.
