The North London Derby is coming

While Arsenal come into Sunday’s game as favourites, Ange Postecoglou’s men will know that they have a real opportunity to build some momentum with a morale-boosting win and demonstrate that they can go toe-to-toe with the best sides in the division.

The Gunners will be without some key players for the clash, including Declan Rice and Martin Odegaared, which boosts Tottenham’s chances.

GiveMeSport claim that Trossard could be given the nod to start at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The former Brighton man is thought to be extremely frustrated at being benched against Wolves and Aston Villa.

Odegaard out and Trossard in for Arsenal

The Belgian international is said to have a ‘stubborn streak’ in him and he reportedly feels that he deserves more opportunities than he has got this season.

It is explained that Arteta could thus unleash Trossard during the Derby game, with the 29-year-old said to be more likely to start than Raheem Sterling.

The publication points out that the Arsenal boss could also decide to play the versatile attacker as an attacking midfielder or false nine.

Spurs Web Opinion

Given the injury problems that Arsenal have in midfield, one of Trossard or Havertz is likely to start as an attacking midfielder.

However the Gunners line up, I expect Spurs to dominate the midfield battle, but our chances of getting a result would depend on how we do in both the boxes as we cannot afford to be as clumsy as we were against Newcastle and Leicester.
