Video: James Maddison and Mikey Moore walk to Spurs game with fans
Two Spurs stars walked up the Tottenham High Road and headed to the stadium on foot for the Carabao Cup clash against Manchester City last Wednesday.
Unconventional journey to the stadium
While the players usually travel via the team bus to away fixtures, many often come on their own to home matches. Of course, that brings into question one dreaded factor – London traffic.
It looks like two of Spurs‘ first-team players decided to do something unconventional and walk the last mile to the stadium to a match last week.
The players in question are James Maddison and Mikey Moore, with the former even sharing a video of them heading into the ground.
James Maddison and Miky Moore undetected
Both Maddison and Moore had their full Spurs tracksuits on when they made their way to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but they were not detected by any of the supporters around them.
The England international even shared a video of the pair walking up the Tottenham High Road on his Instagram reels, admitting that it reminded him of the time he used to go to watch Coventry City play as a kid.
Fantastic moment for Moore and Maddison
In an age where footballers and other celebrities often do their best to isolate themselves from the larger public, it was brilliant of Maddison and Moore to get a taste of what a fan experience on a matchday is like.
However, now that this is out in public, fans will probably be keeping a close eye on any Spurs tracksuit in and around the Tottenham High Road. The pair will not want to repeat this again if they wish to avoid getting mobbed by the supporters.
