Jamie Donley’s rich vein of form continues out on loan, with the Spurs attacking midfielder finding the back of the net with a brilliant free-kick for Leyton Orient as they beat Bristol Rovers away from home.
Jamie Donley’s goalscoring streak continues on loan from Spurs
Donley has made the number ten spot in the Orient side his own over the last month and he has delivered some outstanding displays, demonstrating why he is thought of so highly at Spurs.
The 19-year-old was the star of the show for Orient as they overcame Barnsley 4-0 away from home two weeks ago, with the Tottenham man scoring once and registering two assists in that game.
The attacking midfielder once again made a crucial contribution for his side as they emerged 2-0 winners at home against Cambridge United over the weekend, and he found the back of the net yet again on Wednesday to make it three goals in four matches.
Donley scores a screamer against Bristol Rovers
The teenager’s latest goal in the O’s 3-2 win over Bristol Rovers is undoubtedly his best strike of his season so far.
With the game poised at 1-1, the away side got a free kick on the right flank just off the edge of the box. Rather than crossing into the box, Donley curled a lovely effort with his left foot that sailed into the top corner.

Major praise heaped on Donley
Donley’s brilliant performances of late have garnered praise from his Orient boss, Richie Wellens, who credited the Tottenham academy graduate for the way he has bounced back after a difficult start to the season at Brisbane Road.
Wellens told Leyton Orient’s YouTube channel: “Donley, I have to say, I take my hat off to him, I am so proud of him, the way he has come through the difficult time.
“I questioned him, and I put it on him a little bit to show some resilience, and he has come through that with flying colours. So, the fact that I can get him and [Ethan] Galbraith in the team, is a massive help for us.”
