Cavs Reporter Didn’t Break Stride Dapping Up Player During Report, And NBA Fans Loved It
Cleveland Cavaliers sideline reporter Serena Winters dominated social media this week after a pregame moment from the Cavs’ matchup against the Washington Wizards went viral.
While Winters was working through her live television pregame report on Bally Sports Cleveland, Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen walked over for a dap. Winters, without pausing her report, offered Allen a clean no-look pregame fist bump.

The vibes from the pregame dap clearly paid off, too, as Allen posted 17 points and 19 rebounds in Cleveland’s 140–101 blowout win.
Before being hired as the Cavs’ sideline reporter, Winters covered the Philadelphia 76ers on NBC Sports Philadelphia and was known to give a pregame dap or two to Sixers players.
NBA fans couldn’t get enough of the moment Wednesday night:

Cavs fans are lucky to have her on the sideline, one of the best in the biz. She really ought to be getting national work sooner rather than later. https://t.co/w01JeYaGbh
