Georgia QB Carson Beck Reportedly Spent Nearly $300K on New Sports Car

Being a top college football quarterback has been a pretty lucrative endeavor in one form or another for awhile now, and that is most certainly the case during the NIL era. Look no further than Georgia signal-caller Carson Beck’s recent car purchase to prove it.

Beck appeared on the “Atlanta Autos” Instagram account on Monday, which showed him holding the keys next to a black Lamborghini Urus Performante. The 2024 edition of the crossover retails for over $273,000, per Car and Driver

The quarterback’s big purchase comes a few months after he elected to remain in school for the ’24 season, a decision that came amid significant rumors about his NIL status, though he rejected that narrative after opting to return to Athens

“That [NIL] was not one of the biggest factors of me coming back,” Beck said ahead of the Orange Bowl. “Obviously, as the quarterback at Georgia, there’s going to be plenty of opportunities outside of Georgia for me to make NIL and things like that. For now, coming back and trying to win a championship with these guys and this team is so important to me. I know that’s so cliché, and that’s what I’m supposed to say, but I truly believe that.”

Per Fan Nation’s NIL site, Beck currently has deals with Zero FG Energy Drink, The Players’ Lounge, Leaf Trading Cards and Associated Credit Union.

College football players and sports cars have been intertwined since the halcyon days of Eric Dickerson’s famed gold Trans Am. More recently, we’ve seen programs bring in exotic vehicles for recruit photoshoots. Even Nick Saban, a noted auto dealership owner, got involved last year, showing off his bright red Ferrari.

We’ve seen other quarterbacks, such as former Ohio State star C.J. Stroud and Texas QB Quinn Ewers, land similar cars directly through NIL deals.

As of now, it appears as if Beck bought his Lamborghini outright. In any case, he’s going to be riding in style around Athens this year as he attempts to drive Georgia back to the national championship.
