Georgia Star Brock Bowers Names NFL Team He Hopes Will Draft Him

Normally, NFL prospects would never say what team they want to play for ahead of the draft. Not only because it could scare off potential suitors, but also the storyline could spell trouble if they’re not selected by said team. Georgia’s Brock Bowers, however, didn’t seem to care.

When asked which team he wants to play for, the star tight end directly said he wants the Tennessee Titans to call his name come draft day, according to Chris Simms of NBC Sports

Bowers also said something similar in an exclusive interview with Sports Illustrated’s Brice Butler at Radio Row in Las Vegas.

“It doesn’t really matter to me, but if I could choose one place to live, it’d be to stay down in the Southeast area,” Bowers told Butler. “I guess Nashville would be the No. 1 spot for me to live.”

Bowers left Athens with one of the best résumés in his draft class. He’s a three-time All-American who won two national titles in three seasons. Standing at 6’4,” Bowers caught 56 passes for 714 yards and six touchdowns in 2023.

Frankly, the Titans desperately need a player with his skill set.

Tennessee was 24th in receiving yards this past season at just 3,512 yards and finished with a 6–11 record. As a result, the franchise has the No. 7 pick in the 2024 NFL draft that’s set to start on April 25.
