Raptors acquire G Spencer Dinwiddie from Nets, then waive him

The Toronto Raptors acquired guard Spencer Dinwiddie from the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for guard Dennis Schroder and forward Thaddeus Young on Thursday.

The Raptors immediately waived Dinwiddie. The Athletic reported it was to avoid paying an upcoming $1.5 million contract bonus for games played.
