Here's why advertising for the Super Bowl on the Las Vegas Sphere has a stunning $2M price tag

If companies want to advertise on the Las Vegas Sphere for the Super Bowl, they better come prepared to drop lots of cash.

The Super Bowl is all about the glitz and the glam.

On the NFL’s biggest stage, money is really no object. Companies are willing to pay as much as they need to for a chance to get in front of NFL fans during one of the biggest sports days of the year. They’ll also turn to unconventional methods, like advertising on the Las Vegas Sphere, to catch fans’ attention. If the Sphere is what they want, it’ll cost them upwards of $2 million — no big deal.

Since the Las Vegas Sphere first lit up the Las Vegas sky in July 2023, it’s been a wild ride. From the eye-popping display to countless memes, it hasn’t exactly been smooth sailing. But one of the things the organization running the Sphere has done well is capitalizing on current events, like the Las Vegas Grand Prix or when the Texas Rangers won the World Series.

With Super Bowl LVIII just days away, companies have lined up to advertise on the Sphere as NFL fans descend upon Las Vegas.

According to Brandon Doerrer of Campaign US, brands are paying a premium price for the NFL’s premier event. On a typical day, the Sphere allows three-to-four brands to advertise for $450, 000 each. That investment comes with up to four hours of advertisement time.

But, for the Super Bowl, advertising will cost companies between $1 million and $2 million for a complete takeover on February 11. A single takeover is estimated to last around 12 hours.
