2024 election security: DCOP Waabu’s comments don't represent us’ — Ghana Police Service

The Ghana Police Service has distanced itself from comments made by one of its senior officers regarding the role of the Ghana Armed Forces in providing security for this year 39;s general elections. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Mr Gabriel Prince Waabu had indicated during a panel discussion on Accra-based JoyNews on Monday, February 19, that the police would not involve the military in election security operations as it had done in the past.
