Caitlin Clark announces plans to enter 2024 WNBA Draft

Clark has already set the NCAA women's all-time scoring record and is within 17 points of Pete Maravich's record for career points scored in college basketball overall.

IOWA CITY, Iowa (WHO) – Caitlin Clark has accomplished nearly everything an individual can do on a college basketball court, now she's ready to move on to a bigger stage. On Thursday Clark removed all doubt about her intentions after her senior season with the Hawkeyes ends – she will enter the NBA Draft.

"While this season is far from over and we have a lot more goals to achieve, it will be my last one at Iowa. I am excited to be entering the 2024 WNBA Draft," Clark posted on Twitter on Monday afternoon. Though Clark is in her senior year and has played four full years, she is still eligible for one more year of competition due to disruptions to the 2020-2021 season by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The top pick in the WNBA Draft is held by the Indiana Fever. Clark's full announcement reads:
