The Horizon League is preparing for its 2024 men’s basketball tournament starting on March 5, and if you are looking to catch the opening action of March Madness live, you have come to the right place.

The Oakland Golden Grizzlies wrapped up the 2023-24 campaign with the best intra-conference record of the 11-team league, massing a 15-5 mark that gave them a one-game advantage over the Youngstown State Penguins, who finished 14-6. The Green Bay Phoenixes and Wright State Raiders tailed just behind at 13-7.

The cellar of the Horizon League was occupied by the Detroit Mercy Titans, who won just one of 20 conference matchups, as well as the IUPUI Jaguars and their 2-18 finish. Amazingly, eight teams finished above .500 which put a lot of strain on the bottom-feeders.

The Horizon League’s men’s basketball tournament begins on Tuesday, March 5 at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT with the No. 6-seeded Milwaukee Panthers facing the No. 11 Detroit Mercy Titans in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The action kicks off on Tuesday night and continues until the conference championship finals on Tuesday, March 12. In addition to the aforementioned game, the opening evening will also feature the No. 7 Cleveland State Vikings hosting No. 10 IUPUI and the No. 8 Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons hosting the No. 9 Robert Morris Colonials.

The action continues on Thursday as the winners from Tuesday’s matchups face off with the other teams that had a first-round bye.
