MLB fans were thrilled that Shohei Ohtani revealed who his wife is ahead of the Dodgers' trip to South Korea
That's one ATHLETIC couple.
When Shohei Ohtani says that he’s a private person, he really means it.
That was part of the reason why he chose the Los Angeles Angels when he first arrived to MLB. It’s why it took months for the public to learn his dog’s name. It’s why Ohtani essentially hard launched the fact that he got married but provided no additional details.
Well, baseball fans will no longer have to guess who married the Dodgers superstar. Just ahead of the Dodgers’ series in South Korea against the Padres, Ohtani posed for a photo with Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Ohtani’s wife, Japanese basketball player Mamiko Tanaka, was in the photo as well.
As far as athletically gifted couples go, it’ll be tough to top that pairing.
Apparently, fans in Japan were able to figure out that Ohtani’s wife was Tanaka ever since he made his initial remarks about the marriage.
But baseball fans were still thrilled to learn about Ohtani’s wife.
