Jiri Prochazka: Jamahal Hill has more weapons than Alex Pereira to win UFC 300 title fight
Jiri Prochazka thinks Jamahal Hill has more tools to win than UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira.
Pereira (9-2 MMA, 6-1 UFC) defends his title against former champ Hill (12-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) in the UFC 300 main event April 13 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Pereira captured the 205-pound title with a knockout of Prochazka at UFC 295, but Prochazka sees Hill as the more well-rounded fighter.
“The truth is there are more weapons on Jamahal Hill’s side,” Prochazka told Sportskeeda. “Let the better (man) win.”
Also on UFC 300, former champion Prochazka (29-4-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) will look to re-enter the title picture when he faces Aleksandar Rakic (14-3 MMA, 6-2 UFC) in the featured prelim.
Prochazka sees a rematch with Pereira happening down the line and is confident he could avenge that loss. Prochazka won Round 1 on all three judges’ scorecards before getting stopped in Round 2.
“I’m not like the person who’s looking for revenge, but he’s in the game, (and) I’m in the game,” Prochazka said. “And last fight it was about the details, and right now I’m working about these details. … I believe in my abilities, in my power, and in all these things. Alex has to know that until the moment (knockout), I was better in that fight, and everybody saw that.”
