DJ Burns' new nickname pays homage to an NBA legend and it couldn't be more fitting

It’s honestly too easy to compare North Carolina State star DJ Burns to NBA legend Zach Randolph. I mean, it’s right there.

They’ve got similar games and similar builds. Burns even has a bit of a mean streak in him to just like Randolph did in his prime.

The kicker is this: When you ask Burns who he compares his game to? Randolph is the name that comes up. He said, “I watched a lot of Hakeem Olajuwon growing up, and I just happened to end up with a Zach Randolph build.”

The Zach Randolph comparison is so perfect. That’s why the nickname fans are giving him after he led the Wolfpack to an upset over Duke is perfect, too.

The internet is calling him “Gen Z-Bo” now and there’s nothing more fitting.

We’ve gotten a lot of Burns nicknames over this NC State run, but this one seems to be unanimously loved at this point.
