Rayo Majadahonda forfeit abandoned match and keeper banned after racist incident
April 4 – The goalkeeper of a Spanish third division club has been banned for two games after confronting a supporter who he claimed racially abused him.
Rayo Majadahonda’s Senegalese goalkeeper Cheikh Kane Sarr (pictured) was red-carded after jumping into the crowd to confront the fan in the 87th minute of Saturday’s match at Sestao River Club.
After the 23-year-old had been sent off and informed his Rayo Majadahonda team-mates of what had happened,
