Matt Ryan shared the classiest farewell to Falcons fans as he announced his retirement

After 15 seasons in the NFL as one of its best quarterbacks, Atlanta Falcons legend Matt Ryan has officially retired from the league.

The Falcons shared a very moving video on Monday with Ryan reading aloud a message to Atlanta fans announcing his retirement and thanking them for all the support over the years.

Ryan also paid tribute to many of the elite players that he had the fortune of throwing to in his time as a Falcon, including future Hall of Fame wide receiver Julio Jones, Hall of Fame tight end Tony Gonzalez and Falcons Ring of Honor wide receiver Roddy White.

Ryan spent his final season with the Indianapolis Colts, but the 14 seasons before that cemented the former MVP as a titan in Atlanta sports history.
