Rahul, who hails from Karnataka, made his IPL debut with RCB back in 2013. He then moved to SRH and played for them in 2014 and 2015. However, the top-order batter, who can also double up as a wicketkeeper, returned to RCB in 2016. After missing the 2017 season because of injury, Rahul joined Punjab and stayed there until 2021 before going to LSG in 2022 as the team's skipper.
