Tom Ward has a progressive sprinter on his hands in this three-year-old who loves a big field. She scored three times as a juvenile and picked up where she’d left off with a smooth success over this course and distance on comeback.
BERKSHIRE ROCCO (4.15 Newmarket, nb).
He is a Listed winner at best over this trip and looked in need of his first run in eight months when midfield here last time out. He takes a fair drop in class there and should get a lot closer with that run under his belt.
GOLDEN MELODY (3.50 Ripon, treble).
Tim Easterby’s mare was chinned right on the line here last week. She probably hit the front too soon but she wasn’t shirking the fight. Paul Mulrennan takes over today and this race looks a little bit softer than last time so she should be right there.
