The Dream won their first game over the Sparks 92-81 as both Rhyne Howard and Tina Charles broke the 20-point scoring mark. The two should form a nice duo this season. Charles has the experience, and Howard has the youth to make Altnata a tough team this year.
Taurasi started her 17th campaign by scoring 23 points in the Mercury’s season opener. Phoenix did go on to lose the game 89-80 to the defending champion Aces, thanks to 30 points from A’ja Wilson.
