FIFA's World Football Week receives support from UN

GENEVA, May 23 (Xinhua) -- FIFA announced Thursday the resolution to celebrate the World Football Week annually was supported by the United Nations.

The UN General Assembly acknowledged the annual World Football Day on May 25 as "the global reach of football and its impact in various spheres, including commerce, peace and diplomacy, and recognizing that football creates a space for cooperation."
