Dominic Solanke ‘has £65million transfer release clause’ in Bournemouth contract that only certain clubs can activate
DOMINIC SOLANKE reportedly has a £65million release clause in his Bournemouth contract.
But it can only be activated by certain clubs in a shock twist.
Solanke enjoyed the best Premier League season of his career in 2023-24.
The Cherries ace, 26, scored a whopping 19 goals in 38 games – and 21 in 42 overall.
And that has led to speculation of a possible move away from the Vitality Stadium during the summer transfer window.
Now The Athletic claim an offer of £65m would trigger a release clause, enabling Solanke to discuss personal terms with an interested club.
However, that release clause is restricted to an unknown select group of teams.
They are likely to be those near the top of the Premier League and other European divisions who have qualified to play in Europe next term.
That could, therefore, include Solanke’s two former employers – Chelsea and Liverpool.
The Reds did allegedly have a buy-back option after selling the striker to Bournemouth for £19m in 2019 – but that has since expired.

However, it is understood the Anfield club would receive 20 per cent of any profit Bournemouth make by selling Solanke.
So should he leave for £65m this summer, that would equate to £46m profit – and therefore just north of £9m would be due to Liverpool.

Bournemouth released 14 players at the end of the season – including first-teamers Ryan Fredericks, Darren Randolph and Lloyd Kelly plus Harry Redknapp’s grandson.
