Dad Ronnie survived the tragic accident on May 17 but Bridgeen succumbed to her injuries shortly afterwards.

The pair had flown out to the popular US destination to visit daughter Kayleigh, a pro-wrestler known as Alba Fyre, reports the Daily Record.

Kayleigh, 31, told of her devastation following the accident and paid tribute to her “greatly loved” mum.

She said: “My mum and dad were hit by a vehicle while crossing the road. Unfortunately my mum didn’t make it.

“Words cannot describe how devastated we all are. She was the most caring, fun loving person, the life of every party, and the biggest wee legend we all knew. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

“We know everyone will be feeling this loss, and while our family would appreciate some privacy at this time we’d like people to remember my mum for all the love she brought to everyone.”

Posting a picture with her late mum on Instagram, Kayleigh wrote: “The world won’t be the same without you.

“Love you mum.”

A GoFundMe page has been launched to raise funds to bring Bridgeen’s body back home.

So far, more than £2,500 has been donated by kind-hearted punters.

The page reads: “The family whilst going through such a traumatic time, are also having to arrange to bring Bridgeen back home before they can make further plans to lay her to rest.

“Although no amount of money could take away their pain, a lot of the community have been asking how they can donate and give back as Bridgeen gave to so many.”

Friends and family flocked to social media to express their condolences over Bridgeen’s death.

Kayleigh’s dad Ronnie Higgins said: “I can’t come to terms with what has happened to us. I am struggling but we are strong people together and my aim in life now is to carry on being strong for the rest of our family, the way Bridgeen would have. My world has been ripped apart.”

Another person wrote: “Absolutely gutted. Couldn’t believe it when I heard the news. Lost for words so I am.

“Such a horrible and hard time, she was the best and always there for me.”

A second said: “Still can’t believe it, she was some woman. She’d have us all in stitches with her stories. I have brilliant memories of nights out.”

A third added: “Can’t believe she is gone. She was life and soul of the party and very funny. Some of her quips cracked me up.”

Kayleigh Rae started her wrestling career in the UK before jetting off to America.

Glasgow will play host to Friday Night SmackDown on June 14.

The city will also stage the Clash At the Castle: Scotland the very next evening.
