Here's why you can't see other people's likes on Twitter (X) any longer.

If you’ve been surfing through Twitter (X) in the past few hours, you might’ve noticed that “likes” are now private on other accounts.

Indeed, the social media platform formerly (but forever) known as Twitter announced this week that “likes” on posts are now being made private to “better protect your privacy.”

According to X Engineering on Tuesday, likes will only be made available to the person who posted the message in question. You can still see the posts you like, but others will not have that capacity now.

Basically, Twitter (X) users will not have the ability to see what other people have liked and which individual accounts have liked a post on a separate account.

This will limit the ability for other accounts to see what you have liked and vice versa. However, you can still like posts, track what posts you’ve liked and see who is liking your posts. And that’s that!
