Cubs place RHP Mark Leiter Jr. (forearm) on 15-day IL

The Chicago Cubs placed right-hander Mark Leiter Jr. on the 15-day injured list on Sunday because of a right forearm strain.

In a corresponding move, the Cubs recalled left-hander Luke Little from Triple-A Iowa.

Leiter, 33, has allowed eight runs over 3 1/3 innings in his last four appearances to raise his ERA from 3.20 to 5.34. He is 2-4 with 13 walks and 39 strikeout
