Nationals call up OF James Wood to make debut

The Washington Nationals called up outfield prospect James Wood to make his major league debut on Monday.

Wood, 21, is ranked as the league's No. 3 overall prospect by MLB Pipeline and has been tearing the cover off the ball this season at Triple-A Rochester.

He is batting .353 with a 1.058 OPS in 52 games for the Red Wings, racking up 10 home runs, 37 RBIs and 10 stolen base
