Alcaraz overturns Tiafoe into Wimbledon last 16

LONDON, July 6 (Xinhua) -- Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz defeated Frances Tiafoe in five sets to reach the last 16 at the Wimbledon Championships here on Friday, while Jannik Sinner and Coco Gauff also breezed through.

Third-seeded Alcaraz won a Centre Court classic 5-7, 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 (7-2), 6-2 in three hours and 50 minutes, taking his career record in five-set matches to 12 wins and only one defeat.
