Euro 2024 star gets married to stunning Wag live on TV – with ceremony broadcast to his ENTIRE nation

A ROMANIAN footballer who played at Euro 2024 got married with the eyes of a nation watching.

Ianis Hagi helped his country make it into the knockout stages by playing in all four of their matches.

But he could not prevent a 3-0 last 16 loss to Netherlands – who were eventually beaten in the semis but finalists England.

Still, there was plenty to smile about for Rangers’ Hagi after he tied the knot with partner Elena.

And amazingly it was aired live on TV in Romania with broadcaster Direct said to have paid over £200,000 for the rights.

Hagi wore a cream suit with a black bow tie while partner Elena was also dressed in white.

The footballer said: “I have friends and acquaintances, each with their own story in life.

“The important thing is to have respect, to love each other, I think these are the most important principles.

“Then the connection you have with your partner. We had a connection, as Elena said, from day one.

“I knew it was not a relationship of children. I felt a strong emotion and knew we had to take it step by step, get to know each other.

Hagi joined Rangers in 2020 but spent last season on loan in Spain with Deportivo Alaves.
