Twins place INF Jose Miranda (back) on 10-day IL

The Minnesota Twins placed infielder Jose Miranda on the 10-day injured list on Sunday because of a low back strain.

The move is retroactive to Thursday.

Miranda, 26, is in his third season with the Twins. He is batting .325 with 21 doubles, nine home runs, 43 RBIs and 35 runs in 76 games.
