XANDER SCHAUFFELE has claimed his second career Major after winning the 2024 Open at nine under par.
The American won the PGA Championship in May and now has the Claret Jug to cap off a phenomenal summer.
Justin Rose and Shane Lowry were in the running on the final day, amongst many others, but they finished tied second and sixth respectively.
Schauffele’s triumph in Scotland sealed an American clean sweep for all of this season’s four majors for the first time in 42 years.
