Scott capitalized on the absence of veterans Keenan Allen and DJ Moore, making a 30-plus yard reception during Wednesday’s practice from Williams that nearly resulted in a touchdown, had he not lost his balance along the sideline. Despite this particular play coming from a defensive breakdown, Scott has consistently delivered impressive receptions throughout camp.
Tyler Scott will likely secure a roster spot, but the receiving group remains competitive. Velus Jones Jr. will be a key player to watch, especially with special teams becoming more important due to the new kickoff rule. However, if Scott continues to perform well and build chemistry with his rookie quarterback, he will definitely be a lock for the final 53-man roster.
