UFC 304 live blog: Arnold Allen vs. Giga Chikadze

This is the UFC 304 live blog for Arnold Allen vs. Giga Chikadze, the main card featherweight fight on Saturday in Manchester, England.

As a UFC fighter since 2015, for most of his career the biggest problem Allen had was getting into the cage consistently. Numerous injuries kept Allen from competing more than once a year for several years, slowing his rise to a title shot. Allen finally appeared to be on the cusp of one in 2023, but back-to-back losses to Max Holloway and Movsar Evloev sent “Almighty” back to the drawing board. A win over Chikadze is the first step for Allen to get back into the title picture.

Back in 2021, Chikadze looked destined for greatness after running through Cub Swanson and Edson Barboza. Unfortunately for Chikadze, he’s had a tough time competing since then, fighting only twice in the past two years. One of those was a tough loss to Calvin Kattar which set him back, but after rebounding with a win over Alex Caceres a year ago, Chikadze hopes to make his name ring out once again by winning in Allen’s home country.
