Templegate’s Galway tips

SYSKO is an interesting debutant for Willie Mullins having joined the yard after one run and one win on the Flat in France.
Given the yard’s excellent record in the race he will be primed and ready to go. He is related to good jumpers too so should take well to hurdling.
Feud was a fair handicapper on the level for Ralph Beckett but already looks a better hurdler after cruising to victory on his debut over timber at Listowel last time.
He made a few errors so there’s lots of scope for improvement.
Pigeon House won a hot handicap at Punchestown and is better than his modest effort at Ballinrobe last time out.

MALBAY MADNESS looks on a very fair mark of 108 for this handicap debut.
He comes from the canny Emmet Mullins and he showed promise when third in a big field at Listowel last time.
He gave the strong impression that there’s more to come and he can go close.
Reflectionist looks a big each-way price if he can find the form that saw him win his past two starts.
He has been off more than a year but Gavin Cromwell should have him ready to go.
Flicker Of Hope comes here in excellent form on the back of wins at Clonmel and Wexford. He goes up in class here but has more to come.

STAYSOUND SUSIE is a model of consistency and followed a Tipperary win with a close second at Naas last time.
The handicapper has been fair with just a 2lb rise for that excellent effort and there’s more improvement to come.
Enchanted Garden has been hiked 12lb for an easy big-field win at Leopardstown 11 days ago but she relishes this trip and could easily improve past that.
Avatar Jet didn’t have to hit top gear when scoring at Killarney and has enough pace to cope with this drop in distance.

ALPHONSE LE GRANDE has been in fantastic form this season. He won the 16-runner Chester Plate which bodes well for this tight, turning track.
He proved that was no fluke but taking a hot contest at Newcastle last time with plenty to spare.
His rider’s claim takes care of the 7lb rise for that victory and he has lots of staying power for this trip.
Lot Of Joy represents Willie Mullins and she was less than half a length away at The Curragh last time.
She’s yet to win on the Flat for these connections but has come down the weights and shapes like a stayer.
Teed Up won this last year and has every chance again from a 7lb higher mark. He has a fantastic record at Galway on the Flat and over hurdles and is highly respected.
