The New York Yankees activated designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton off the 10-day injured list on Monday, hours before opening a three-game road series with the Philadelphia Phillies, who own the majors' best record (65-40).
In a corresponding move, center fielder Jahmai Jones, 26, was designated for assignment. In 33 games with the Yankees this season, Jones is hitting .238
