Pirates add LHP Jalen Beeks in deal with Rockies

The red-hot Pittsburgh Pirates acquired left-handed pitcher Jalen Beeks from the Colorado Rockies in exchange for minor league left-hander Luis Peralta on Monday.

Beeks, 31, appeared in a career-high 45 games out of the bullpen in his first season with Colorado. He is 6-4 this year with nine saves (also a career high) and a 4.74 ERA.
