Astros scratch RHP Jake Bloss on eve of trade deadline

The Houston Astros scratched right-hander Jake Bloss from his scheduled Monday night start against the Pittsburgh Pirates about an hour before first pitch.

The Astros didn't divulge a reason for the decision. Right-hander Tayler Scott is starting place of Bloss.

The move comes one day before the trading deadline. Bloss, 23, is Houston's No. 9 prospect, according to MLB Pipelin
