Marcus Rashford looks distraught as Man Utd star is forced off injured against Betis following Hojlund and Yoro crocks

MANCHESTER UNITED are waiting anxiously to see if Marcus Rashford will join Rasmus Hojlund and Leny Yoro on the injury list.

Striker Hojlund will be out of action for six weeks with a hamstring injury.

The sickening news for manager Erik Ten Hag comes after it was confirmed that £52million new centre-back Leny Yoro has suffered a metatarsal injury that will keep him out for six months.

Rashford limped out of Manchester United’s 3-2 win over Real Betis here in San Diego on Wednesday night.

The United forward suffered a heavy challenge on the hour, which should have won a penalty, as Sergi Altimera stamped down on his ankle.

Rashford went down beating the ground, before limping off and stopping twice, bending over in pain, on his way to the tunnel.

Winger Antony also suffered a problem in the second-half. He came on in the 62nd minute only to go off again in the 86th.

Rashford was spotted after the game signing autographs for supporters.

The forward was walking unaided and with much less of a limp than immediately after the challenge, which will lessen United’s concerns.

Hojlund went down injured shortly after scoring the opening goal in Manchester United’s 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in Los Angeles last Saturday.

Yoro also limped off in the first period of that game in a double blow at the start of United’s US Tour.

Ten Hag had only been talking the day before how he hoped the injury jinx that tainted last season for United was now a thing of the past.

The club had 66 cases of injury or illness last season which Ten Hag believes was the cause of them finishing a record low of eighth in the Premier League.

Hojlund was hoping to hit the ground running this season after the £72million buy from Atalanta struggled in his first campaign hitting just 16 goals, ten of them in the Premier League.

By the end of the season and the FA Cup Final manager Erik ten Hag even decided not to play a striker rather than start the Dane.

Now he will miss the first four Premier League games while Yoro will miss nine.

Despite the injury, which has left Yoro wearing a protective cast and using crutches, he has insisted on staying on the US Tour to get to know his new teammates.
