Cardinals activate pitching arrivals Shawn Armstring, Erick Fedde

The St. Louis Cardinals activated a pair of new additions Thursday with right-handers Shawn Armstrong and Erick Fedde placed onto the active roster.

The club optioned rookie right-handers Michael McGreevy and Ryan Loutos to Triple-A Memphis.
