Who is Bryony Page?

Page was born in Crewe on December 10, 1990.

She took up trampolining at the age of nine and after graduating from the University of Sheffield she focused on the sport full-time.

But in her early career, she suffered from the yips – a loss of fine motor skills in athletes – for two years which affected her confidence and performance.

However, Page overcame it in 2010 with the help of a confidence coach.

She competed in her first World Championships in 2010 where she finished fourth in the individual event.

But Page missed the 2012 Olympic Games in London due to illness and injury problems.

She won three successive British Championship titles between 2013 and 2015.

Page then won the silver medal at Rio 2016, the first time that any British trampolinist had won an Olympic medal.

At the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, held in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Page won a bronze medal.

She said: “Tokyo was difficult for me for the reason that there wasn’t an audience, so it felt very intense.

“And just the competition and the media surrounding it. So I’m looking forward to having an audience again, or a crowd.”

Will Bryony Page be competing in the Paris Olympics?

Yes, Page will be competing in the Paris Olympics.

She will represent Team GB in the trampoline – as she did in 2021 when she secured bronze.

When will Bryony Page be competing in the Paris Olympics?

The Games officially kicks off on Friday, July 26 and culminates on Sunday, August 11.

But the trampoline final gets underway on Friday, August 2.
