Truist to take over as sponsor of PGA Tour's Charlotte event

Truist is taking over as the title sponsor of the PGA Tour's signature tour event in Charlotte, N.C., replacing fellow banking giant Wells Fargo.

The tour announced on Tuesday a seven-year agreement with the Charlotte-based bank to launch the Truist Championship, to be played at Quail Hollow Club beginning in 2026. The 2025 event will be held May 8-11 at the Philadelphia Cricke
